Fuel up with Vegan Power Balls (Deep-Fried & Delicious!) Recipe!

Plus, we'll be using Country Farm Organics Certified Organic All-Purpose Coconut Cooking Oil for deep-frying - perfect for getting that crispy golden exterior!

 

This amazing oil is perfect for deep-frying because of its:

  • High Smoke Point: It can handle the heat without burning, ensuring crispy, golden balls!
  • Neutral Flavour: It won't overpower the deliciousness of your nuts and raisins.
  • Vegan-Friendly: Perfect for plant-based treats!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Country Farm Organics Certified Organic Flour (All Purpose Flour, High Protein Plain Wheat Flour, Unbleached Wholemeal Wheat Flour - your choice!)
  • 1/2 cup Country Farm Organics rolled oats (Signature Premium Rolled Oats or Finland Rolled Oats)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (VBF almonds, walnuts, cashew - your choice!)
  • 1/2 cup Country Farm Organics Raisins (Black, Red, Green or Mix them all!)
  • 1/4 cup Country Farm Organics Acacia Honey
  • 1/4 cup Country Farm Organics Peanut Butter (Smooth or Crunchy - depending on your preferences)
  • 1/4 cup plant-based milk (almond, soy, oat)
  • Pinch of Country Farm Organics NQ Salt (Himalayan Rock Salt, French Sea Salt or Portuguese Sea Salt)
  • Country Farm Organics All-Purpose Coconut Cooking Oil (For Frying)

 

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, nuts, raisins, salt, and mix well.

2. In a separate bowl, whisk together honey, nut butter, and plant-based milk until smooth.

3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. If it feels too dry, add a little more milk, one tablespoon at a time.

4. Deep-frying magic! Heat Country Farm Organics Coconut Oil in a deep pot to around 175°C.

5. Safety first! While the oil heats up, use a spoon to scoop out small balls of dough and roll them between your palms to form smooth balls.

6. Carefully drop a few balls at a time into the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.

7. Drain the champions! Using a slotted spoon, transfer the fried power balls to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

8. Let them cool slightly before digging in!
